Blaubox was originated to coincide with an exhibition of the work of Coop Himmelblau held at the Architectural Association from 10 November to 10 December 1988 and an installation in Bedford Square of a full-scale section of the Open House.
Blaubox FOLIO XIII contains nine composite plates made up of several layers of silkscreen on acetate, each of which documents the process by which a particular project has evolved, from spontaneous sketches to models. An essay by Michael Sorkin traces their unique avant-garde activities and a conversation with Alvin Boyarsky discusses their design methods in some detail.
