“COOP HIMMELB(L)AU. Beyond the Blue” is published for an eponymous exhibition shown by and conceptualized especially for the MAK Vienna, the hitherto largest and most comprehensive museum presentation of the work of his team of architects operating worldwide. One special feature is the documentation of the exhibition design developed by COOP HIMMELB(L)AU. It reflects both continuity and variety in the formal vocabulary of the architects’ comprehensive oeuvre developed over forty years. Photographs, renderings, plans, and drawings provide readers with in-depth information about projects unrealized and realized as well as still in planning.
