BIM Coordinator (m/f/d)
Job profile
For an international airport project, we are currently looking for a BIM Coordinator (m/f/d) to join our team in Tirana, Albania.
Profile:
- Collaborate with project teams (architects, engineers, contractors) to integrate models from various disciplines (structural, architectural, MEP)
- Conduct clash detection and resolve issues using tools like Navisworks or Solibri
- Organize and lead coordination meetings, ensuring that model issues are discussed and resolved in alignment with project timelines
- Ensure all models meet project-specific BIM requirements, company standards, and relevant codes or guidelines
- Perform regular audits and checks to maintain model integrity and data consistency
- Maintain and enforce project-specific BIM standards, ensuring all models are compliant with established protocols (like ISO 19650)
- Create and update BIM documentation, including coordination workflows, modeling guidelines, and quality control checklists
- Set up project models according to the BIM execution plan (BEP), establishing levels of development (LOD) and parameters
- Provide guidance and support for team members using BIM tools
- Assist in training sessions to improve team skills in BIM software and workflows, ensuring project efficiency
- Assist in managing the BIM data lifecycle, from design to construction and handover, ensuring all relevant information is accessible
- Generate reports on model status, clash issues, and coordination updates for project managers and stakeholders
Qualifications and Skills:
- Professional degree in architecture
- BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is beneficial
- 2 – 5 years of experience in BIM coordination or related roles, preferably on multi-disciplinary projects
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks is typically required
- Familiarity with additional tools like Dynamo, Solibri, or BIM 360 is required
- Knowledge of coding/scripting languages like Python or Visual Basic is a plus
- Familiarity with BIM standards and protocols, such as ISO 19650, LOD specifications, and project-specific BEP requirements
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and embrace emerging BIM technologies
