Coop Himmelb(l)au Tirana seeks to enlarge its international team and is looking to fill the position of a Senior Lead Architect (full-time, 40h) to join our team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design & Technical leadership of project teams together with the Project Architect to support the Studio Lead
  • Perform and deliver full construction documents packages on all phases including concept design, design development, construction documents and specifications
  • Responsible for the process of design, the functional and technical conception of the project, the coordination of the team and the documentation of the project
  • Ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations, analyze project and client requirements and develop architectural and technical solutions together with the Project Leader
  • Present and coordinate projects through all phases to client, stakeholder and consultants
  • Ensure that all architectural and engineering plans comply with the respective local building codes and standards
  • Engage and integrate the Coop Himmelb(l)au working methods, procedures and workflow of architecture in the design process

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional degree in architecture
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, preferably in an international context
  • Experience in design & planning geometrically complex, large-scale projects in all work phases
  • Highly experienced in leadership and team coordination
  • Strong Project Management competence e.g. quality control, document management, cost management
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organization skills
  • Strong conceptual and design qualities, functional and technical understanding
  • Proficiency with analog and digital tools: Rhino, Grasshopper, Rhino Inside, Revit/​BIM, CAD, Adobe Suite, ability to be open to further software applications
  • Fluent in English and German (a plus) spoken and written, further languages advantageous
  • Willingness and availability for international travel would be beneficial
